Mount Washington Ski Club
This is a non-profit society, whose aim is to provide a high quality and affordable competitive ski program. An article with more information on this club can be found here.

Section 8 Ski Institute
Intensive 12 week ski instructior training/winter leadership skills programs. Includes training and exams for CSIA Level 1 and 2, CAA Recreational Avalanche Certificate and Wilderness First Aid Certificate. Top qualified coaches give extensive technical ski training in a variety of diciplines. Room and half board included.

Strathcona Nordics
The Nordics offer a range of programs for all ages and interests consistent with the ideal that cross-country skiing is a lifelong sport. The programs fall roughly into two categories: recreational skiing/ski skill development and ski training/athlete development/racing.

Vancouver Island Mountain Sports Society
The VIMSS provides yearly grants to competitive athletes on Vancouver Island. These grants are meant to offset the costs associated with regional and national competitions and advanced training. In this way, VIMSS seeks to nurture emerging athletes on the Island and help prepare them for elite national and international competition.

Vancouver Island Society for Adaptive Snow Sports (VISAS)
VISAS began with a group of Comox Valley folks keen to share their love for the outdoors, who began to teach skiing to mentally and physically challenged people in the early 1960's. VISAS helps individuals, challenged by injury or developmental diseases, to find ways to "accent their abilities" through the use of adaptive equipment and professional instruction.
