About Mount Washington, BC
Mount Washington Alpine Resort is just 25 minutes from the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC. Mount Washington boasted the deepest snow base in Canada for the 2005/2006 ski season. The average snowfall in this skier's paradise is 10.5 metres (35 feet). The average temperature here in the winter is a pleasant -2C. Ski season runs from December to mid April.
For those who want to try Snowshoeing, you can rent snowshoes, explore the trails, and finish off with the popular Snowshoe Fondue at Raven Lodge.
During the Winter season, Mount Washington Alpine Resort opens daily for skiing and snowboarding, and night lit runs are open for night skiing.
The ski runs at Mount Washington, are for skiers and riders of all abilities. These runs are classified as 25% easier, 35% intermediate, and 45% advanced. The Green Zone caters to beginners and families and is night-lit. . The Outback is for serious skiers and snowboarders. The O-Zone park is lift accessed and offers snow tubing fun for the whole family. Two professionally-maintained terrain parks make Mount Washington a snowboarder's paradise!
Lifts include: Two high-speed chairlifts (1 six pack, and 1 quad), two fixed grip
quads,1 triple chair, 1 double chair, 1 platter lift, a handle
tow, & tube lift. The new Boomerang opens up the Outback to those looking for a little adventure.
The Alpine Lodge offers a gift store, locker area, public washrooms, liquor store, groceries, childcare, Snow School, several dining options, and pub.

The ride lasts for 15 minutes, allowing you plenty of time to take in the awe-inspiring views of the Pacitic Ocean, Coast Mountains and Strathcona Provincial Park.

Mountain Biking - In the Summer, Mount Washington offers 37 km of lift-accessed biking trails, maintained by experienced trail builders. Novice to expert, there is something for everyone. Lessons, clinics and special events too. Stats: 505m (1647 ft) vertical drop serviced by two lifts. Trails are 30% novice, 35% Intermediate, and 35% Expert. Monster Mile - signature DH race course, New freeride trail 'Back in Black,' on-mountain skills areas, dirt jump park

Bradley Centre, near the Alpine Lodge, offers alpine equipment rentals.
Hours: 8 am to 4 pm daily
Pick up your gear after 3 pm for the next day at no additional cost.

Winter 2009/10 Nordic Trail Rates (Prices subject to change without notice)
World Class Nordic Facilities, ready for Olympic Athletes
Mount Washington's new Raven Lodge is the perfect setting for 55 km (30 miles) of world-class Nordic trails. Trails are groomed, track-set, for both classic and skate skiing. Some trails are lift serviced by the Hawk Chair, and others take you through Strathcona Provincial Park. This Nordic area has been granted Official Training Site status by Cross Country Canada. Trails, biathlon and training facilities have all been upgraded in anticipation of the 2010 Olympics.
The 300-metre Natural Luge near Raven Lodge is made with snow, not ice - so speeds are a little slower but still thrilling. Luge lessons and rentals are available.

Group lessons that teach XC techniques, snow safety, and fun healthy exercise. Cross Country Kids runs on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
